New York City is home to more than 8 million people and stands as the world's dynamic center for the financial, media, advertising, and fashion industries. Complementing these powerhouse industries are fine dining, visual and performing arts, shopping and nightlife that would impress even the most discriminating traveler.

Manhattan is a sightseer's mecca and drew a record of over 40 million tourists in 2007. A trip to the Big Apple is not complete without seeing some of the world famous local sights, including the Statue of Liberty, Empire State Building, Rockefeller and Lincoln Centers, a revitalized Times Square, Central Park, Riverside Park and the UN.

Don't forget to visit the many diverse neighborhoods including Chelsea, Greenwich Village, Hell's Kitchen, Times Square/Theater District, Chinatown and the Financial District. There's a lot to see and every part of the island has its own unique flavor. You may need an extended stay to soak it all in.

When it's time to find the party, no city has more to choose from. Manhattan's gay nightlife is never dull with dozens of weekly gay-themed parties. Make sure to ask the locals what's happening on the night you choose to go out. There are always different options for every type of crowd.
