Hotel Features
|
Standing on the edge of Greenwich Park, this elegant villa was built in 1723 as the official residence of the Ranger of Greenwich and was occupied by a succession of aristocratic and royal residents right up until 1902. Today it houses a sparkling treasure trove of Renaissance artworks, exquisite jewels, silver and porcelain that make up the Wernher Collection. Gilded gates open into a courtyard in front of the handsome façade of the red brick house with its high sash windows, white pillars and portico. It boasts lovely antique-lined rooms hung with paintings and chandeliers as well as a charming and secluded walled garden. For both weddings or events, English Heritage provides the services of a hospitality professional to help fine tune arrangements as well as a range of carefully chosen accredited suppliers – from caterers to florists – to ensure every occasion runs smoothly and to the highest possible standards.
